7 am - wake up, stretch... and smile. Seriously, it sets the tone for the day.
Before you get up all the way sit on the edge of the bed and take a breath deeply, hold it for a moment then exhale. Repeat. It centers you. Be grateful, you have a unique opportunity to make a difference in the world. It's true, you will affect the world around you today...one way or another. Make it count. Consciously decide to be kind, to offer help...to do your best. To Smile.
When you do head out, we ask that you "Wear your Heart on your Sleeve" - Put on a Heart Sticker, pin, or magnetic heart physically on your sleeve. This is an identifier. People will know you help if you can. Christians wear crosses, Shiek's wear turbans, Muslims grow beards. CaPEites wear their Heart on their Sleeve.
When possible, wear CaPEism Caps, shirts, or bracelets that do say CaPEism, or Positive Energy Equals Infinity, or KiS (Keep it Simple) this invites people to ask what they mean. Say "CaPEism is a system of belief that encourages living an authentic life of Compassion and Positive Energy."
12 Noon- Check in - At noon look at your wrist as if checking the time. Are you doing as you planned today? Smile.
These simple actions keep you centered.
Throughout your day ask yourself as the situations arise:
"Does this action help me or hurt me? (This one is big...be kind to yourself, help yourself succeed.
Do I need this or want this?" (Should I eat this food, Should I be driving this fast on the way home?)
Extend this to others - "Does this hurt someone or help them?" These simple questions can change your life.
Stand up for the equality of women. Protect children.
Save your money until you can comfortably give back. Do not tithe per se. Give as you can, when you are financially able.
At the end of the day, lying in bed, take a very deep breath and hold it briefly then let it out slowly...repeat. Review your day. If all did not go as planned, do better tomorrow. Simple as that...do better every day. Lastly, Smile. It feels good.
The Spirit of CaPEism: A Modern Blend of Ancient Wisdom and Common Sense
CaPEism is not a rigid religion, nor a closed-off doctrine. It is a living, breathing system of belief that draws from some of humanity’s most profound traditions — reshaped for modern life.
We draw inspiration from:
A Westernized form of Buddhism - Not the ascetic path of orange robes or retreating from the world for endless meditation, but the core wisdom: cultivating inner peace, mindfulness, and compassion within everyday life.
Stoicism - The enduring lessons of resilience, self-discipline, and focusing only on what is within our control. In a world full of distractions and anxieties, Stoicism teaches us how to remain centered, unshaken, and purposeful.
The Sermon on the Mount & the Golden Rule - We embrace the timeless call to treat others as we wish to be treated — to love our neighbor, to turn away from cruelty, and to choose forgiveness and generosity.
Common Sense - Perhaps most importantly, CaPEism honors the power of clear thinking and everyday practicality. We do not ask people to abandon reason or reality; we believe in living wisely, balancing compassion with discernment, and taking meaningful, realistic steps to build a better world.
At its heart, CaPEism is about living with Compassion and Positive Energy — not locked away in monasteries or lost in abstract ideals, but fully engaged with life as it is, right here, right now.
CaPEism Mission Statement
With CaPEism, we believe that living with Compassion and Positive Energy is the most powerful path to personal fulfillment and a blissful afterlife.
We draw from the wisdom of diverse traditions — the mindfulness of Westernized Buddhism, the resilience of Stoicism, the enduring truths of the Golden Rule, and the clarity of common sense — to create a modern, inclusive system of belief.
We do not demand rigid rituals, blind faith, or ancient stories; we invite each person to live intentionally, wearing their compassion and a Heart on their sleeve, checking in daily with their own heart, and acting always with kindness, integrity, and awareness.
We honor the testimonies of those who have stood at the edge of life and returned — Near-Death Experiencers - who remind us that at the very brink of death, people most often encounter peace, love, and unity. The Universe is vibrating energy. Aligning our energetic vibrations Positively encourages a blissful merging as we transition from this life. Some that came back said it was static or negative. The good news is...they came back. Do better. Live Compassionately.
Our mission is simple yet profound: To foster a global community that lives compassionately, radiates positive energy, stands up for equality, and gives generously — when able — in service to others. No Gods are required.
We believe by living this way, we not only improve the world today but also align ourselves with the deepest forces of joy, peace, and transcendence that may await us beyond.
